Habitation Anse Couleuvre works differently. It is a small family-run property in Le Prêcheur, the last village on the northern Caribbean coast, with four traditional rooms inside a restored creole house and four modern bungalows spread across a tropical garden.
Breakfast is included, the pool faces the sunset, and the restaurant serves a creole semi-gastronomic lunch daily. Staff live on site, so a late arrival, a hiking question or a dinner reservation is handled in person rather than through a messaging app.
The location suits travellers who want the wild side of the island: Mount Pelée, the Anse Couleuvre waterfall trail, deserted volcanic beaches, canyoning, and the historic ruins of Saint-Pierre — all within thirty minutes.
